Stewardship Guidelines
Welcome to Little Sissabagama. Whether you are visiting for the first time or visit here
frequently, we trust that you will enjoy the many bays and quiet nature of the lake.
In order to enhance the environment of our beautiful lake and ensure a pleasurable
experience for all, we ask that you subscribe to the following guidelines and become good
stewards of our beautiful lake.
- No jet skis/PWC.
- Before launching any watercraft, check your life vests and water toys, boat, wells and
trailer and remove all weeds that can be carried into the lake.
- Water skiing only between the hours of 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Please avoid other boats,
swimming and dock areas, as well as narrow bays.
- Be aware of Wisconsin boating regulations and throttle back when in close proximity to
the shoreline or docks. While not marked with buoys, these are no wake zones.
- Respect the presence of wildlife, particularly swimming or nesting loon and
nesting osprey.
- Please practice catch and release for all muskie and other trophy-sized fish.
We encourage the catching and removal of northern pike.
- Please be respectful of your neighbors and avoid bright lights aimed across the water,
loud noises and music, especially at night as sound carries great distances over water.
- Be aware of local ATV trails and regulations.
- Be aware of state guidelines regarding the protection of shore areas and setbacks.
- Please keep boats, lifts and docks in a state of good repair.
- Respect the many islands; No cooking fires or campfires and leave no trash.
- Watch for slower and smaller watercraft such as canoes, kayaks and paddleboats that
are used by residents of the lake.
These guidelines of stewardship have been approved by the shoreowners of Little Sissabagama.
